New partnership supports Traveloka’s expansion into Australia and enables global rollout of personalised, embedded travel protection
Cover Genius, the global insurtech for embedded protection, today announced a new partnership with Traveloka, Southeast Asia’s leading all-in-one travel tech platform.
The partnership entails Cover Genius providing embedded protection products across Traveloka’s platforms, including comprehensive travel protection in several markets and Cancellation Protection in Australia.
The collaboration supports Traveloka’s continued international expansion, including its recent entry into Australia, by offering travellers seamless, relevant protection built directly into the booking journey. This is part of its focus on providing travellers with a comprehensive platform that simplifies trip planning and enhances the overall travel experience.
As part of the rollout, Traveloka customers in Australia can now access Cancellation Protection in-platform during the purchase process, providing greater flexibility and peace of mind when booking travel.
This protection provides a refund if travellers need to cancel part or all of their trip due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to accident, injury or sickness of the traveller, their companion or a close family member (including due to pre-existing medical conditions), transportation disruptions en route to the airport, disruptions or significant delays to flights due to adverse weather, mechanical breakdowns amongst other reasons, natural disasters, theft of travel documents, home emergencies, redundancy and other unexpected events.
In addition, Traveloka has rolled out Cover Genius’ globally scalable Comprehensive Travel protection across its platforms in several markets, with a view to further deepening the relationship.
